It is time to use your voice!

There is nothing more powerful than using your voice to advocate for a better workplace. The bargaining team has worked hard to secure a new contract, but there is still work to be done! There is a lot of conversation around the state's economy and how it will impact us as public service workers. We must be vocal this legislative session and let legislators know what we need to help us KEEP MARYLAND SAFE!!!

Please join your brothers and sisters as they travel to Annapolis to speak with legislators for our Public Safety Lobby Night!

What is Lobby Night?

Lobby nights are our time as union members and public service workers to use our voice. We are able to meet with legislators during prescheduled appointments. We are able to put a "face" with the "job title" by telling our stories. We meet around 5:30PM at 80 Calvert Street, Annapolis Maryland. After a short briefing, we walk (2-3-minute walk) as a group to the House of Delegates and/or the Senate House at our scheduled appointment times. As a group (usually no more than 15 people), we go to legislator's offices to have "intimate conversations" discussing the issues that impact us most as public service workers. Depending on the number of appointments, you should expect to meet with anywhere from 2 to 4 legislators.

Why should I participate?

There is no one who can tell your story better than you! You can personalize the struggles of public service workers allowing legislators to "meet" the men and women impacted by their policies. By entering the hearts of legislators, we can remain a priority.
